You may remember that Lance Armstrong dedicated a day of this year’s Tour de France to the five cyclists injured in a road accident in Kanata, Canada. We arrived in the country to find that the accused driver faced five more charges relating to the incident:

Helmets, bells, position on the road, bike lanes or bike paths, police action, police inaction - all the arguments and concerns we see aired in the press at home..
Obviously mankind the world over has to learn to tolerate and accommodate users of the shared space which is our public highway.
